Leandro Feal

Leandro Feal (La Havana, 1986) lives and works between La Havana and Barcelona. His work spans various photographic genres and depicts both private and public spaces, inviting the viewer to think about the relationship between images and censorship in the Cuban society. 

His work belongs to collections such as The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA – US), Cisneros Fontanal Art Foundation (CIFO – US), The Modern Form Collection (United Kingdom) y The Coppel Foundation (Mexico) and has been shown in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in venues such as : Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wilfredo Lam, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Galleria Continua Les Moulins, Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes of Havana (MNBA), Museo de Arte Moderno de Santo Domingo, Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), Artium, Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdansk. Parasol Unit, London and the Japan Foundation in Tokyo. He took part in the XXXI Pontevedra Biennale the Kochi Muziris Biennale 2018. He has also been artist in residence at the Azkuna Zentroa, Bilbao as part of the program Artista X Artista.
